Catching monster Redfish in Jacksonville, FL on the St. Johns River. This fish was 43" long. I didn't weigh it.
On this trip I used chunks of mullet for bait. I fish on the bottom using a 3 way swivel. On one side of the swivel I tie about 1 foot of line to a 8 to 10 oz lead weight. On the other side I tie on a leader about 2 to 3 feet in length and about 60 or 80 pound. I use a 6/0 or bigger circle hook. In this video the rod is a shimano teramar tms-f70h and the reel is a Peen Fierce 6000 spooled with 65lb powerpro. The boat is a 1974 Aquasport 19-6 and the guy fishing is the guy from "The Worlds Largest Bass Caught on a Gummy Worm" video.
