So the rumors it seems are true today the biggest rod & reel caught marlin ever caught in Fiji was captured today. It has weighed in at a massive 1092lb.

To anyone thinking it maybe should have been released, in a perfect world i fully agree. However Ive travelled and fished allot around the world and i know many places are struggling and living in very poor conditions. For example its not uncommon for villagers in Fiji to work for roughly $2 Fijian dollars an hour!From what i hear the fish is being taken back to a local village and is going to feed lots of people and most likely create one big party in fiji tonight and the nights to come. I can only image how good this is going to be for the Marlin fishing charters in Fiji.
