sometimes the bass want bite no matter what you throw at them. so a small live bream will do the trick. i like to use a bream about 3 inches long. i use a pretty good size hook and hook it about 1/8 of an inch below its top fin. that way it dosent die. i use a float about 2 feet deep. at night i use a live land toad. use a rubber band to attatch its leg to the hook. no float is needed. the frog will float and swim its way back in on top of the water. let the bass swim with the bait for 5 or 10 seconds and lay in to it. get ready because its usually a big one.
